Go and make disciples,
The Holy Bible reads.
But a love for the one true God
Is what the world really needs.
Senseless wars are being waged
Because we all want to be right.
But righteousness isn’t achieved through
Selfishness and might.
In the world that I envision,
We serve the common good.
Enough with the bickering,
Your brother, your sister, behaving like a hood.
We should boldly be going
Where no man has gone before.
But we keep ourselves grounded when we
Think we’re something more.
The future is ours,
Just acknowledge the error of your ways.
Not making this connection will lead to
The shortening of our days.
We all want the good life,
A spouse and a child.
But God’s children must first explain
Why they’re acting so wild.
His grace is sufficient. Wake Up!
Let Him in.
Overcome this life of carnality,
Sin.
Join me now,
As I look up at the stars.
Beyond Jupiter, Venus, Pluto and Mars.
Up there is where we’ll encounter challenges
Never faced before.
What happens down here?
I don’t care anymore.
I want to see what’s out there,
Be witness to something great.
Will we greet Vulcan, Klingon, or something innate?
The universe is vast,
Beyond what we can ever imagine or think.
I just pray for peace on Earth,
A future that doesn’t allow me to blink.
