CWA is in the houze!! Yes!!! The site has finally launched. Dreams DO come true. Career Writers Association was started by Sun Michelle Smith in December 2006.
It's creation was inspired after her astonishing 1st place win of a scholarship essay contest she entered while attending graduate school in Atlanta, Georgia. The win which granted her $3000 made her finally believe in her talents in writing after years of self doubt despite the prior wins of smaller amounts.
It was like an injection shot of motivation and she has been a force to reckon with in the world of literature ever since. CEO, Poetry Show Host, Contributing Writer to online magazines, Spoken word forums and her Self-help book; "Common Sense 101" are her latest endeavors.
Sun loves life and laughter but she knows when to get down to business too! Sun will work hard for you and help you achieve your goals. In all areas of career finding and education WRITING is essential.
If you can write excellently you can do anything-ANYTHING in this world. Are you excited yet? Sun just wants you to see with your own eyes the FREEDOM writing can give. College requires an application essay, most careers require a Cover Letter, Movie makers need Screenplay writers, Speech writers make history every election, News writers document every important event, poetry has shaped out society in beautiful words from Robert Frost, Paul Laurence Dunbar, Maya Angelou...the list goes on and on and what about the writers who make us learn...text book authors, advisers and preachers who tell us how to become better people...so much has come from a brilliant mind, pen and paper. I take joy in just imagining the possibilities for me and you-us and CWA!
